Who they are

Relax Gaming was founded in 2010 by Patrik Österåker and Jani Tekoniemi, with poker as its first product. It is headquartered in Malta, with studios and offices that have grown to include Tallinn, Malmö, Stockholm, Belgrade, Novi Sad, Gibraltar and New Jersey.^1,2,3

Its ownership is unusual for a supplier of its size. The operator Kindred Group held a third of it from 2013 and bought the rest in October 2021 at an enterprise value of €320 million; Kindred was in turn taken over by France's FDJ in 2024.^3,4

What they are known for

Most of what Relax distributes is not its own. Through Silver Bullet and Powered By Relax it carries more than 70 partner studios and over 4,000 games, on top of its own output and its poker and bingo products. Its own slots aim at the extreme end: the Money Train series climbed from a 20,000x ceiling in 2019 to 150,000x in Money Train 4, which was billed as the finale before Money Train 5 arrived in September 2026.^5,1

Two other ideas carry its name: Dream Drop, a five-tier jackpot launched in 2022 in which every tier is guaranteed to pay, and Book of 99, released in 2021 at a 99% return.^6,7

Licensing and compliance

Relax lists the UK Gambling Commission, the MGA, Gibraltar, Romania's ONJN and Ontario's AGCO among its regulators, plus eCOGRA certification. The UK register shows Relax Gaming Limited under account 37462, and Gibraltar's list of B2B licence holders includes Relax Gaming (Gibraltar) Limited.^1,9,10
