PG Soft

A mobile-first studio from Malta whose games, Fortune Tiger above all, carry far more weight in Asia and Brazil than in Europe, and whose published UK licence number is registered to another company and was surrendered in 2025. We have profiled the company below; its games are not read yet.

Who PG Soft is.

Who they are

PG Soft, short for Pocket Games Soft, was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Valletta. It debuted at ICE in London in 2017 and released its first games in the fourth quarter of that year; it says it has about 200 staff in Europe, North America and Asia, supports more than 40 languages, and does not offer its games in the United States, Australia, Hong Kong, Macau and several other countries.1

Its commercial weight sits in Asia and Latin America. Fortune Tiger, released in 2022, became a phenomenon in Brazil under the nickname Jogo do Tigrinho; in May 2025 PG Soft's games went live in Brazil's newly regulated market through SkillOnNet's local brands.4,5

What they are known for

PG Soft designs for phones first: portrait screens, short sessions, bright Asian-themed art. Its popularity brought a problem most studios don't have: copied versions of its games circulating outside the regulated market. In September 2024 it launched a tool that lets a player check a game is genuine by matching their transaction ID, and joined Brazil's national games and lotteries association, ANJL.2,6

Licensing and compliance

PG Soft says it holds operating licences from the UK (licence 45515), Malta (C76195) and Gibraltar, and that its games are dual-certified by BMM Testlabs and Gaming Associates. The UK register tells a different story about 45515: it belongs to Adoptit Publishing Limited of the Isle of Man, whose two licences were surrendered on 7 July 2025. We set out what the registers show, and what is still unclear, in a separate report.2,3
